Peggy Rew is a Sparks, NV-based wordsmith, poet, educator, professional pet nanny, Life’s Abundance Pet Food distributor, and Northern Nevada’s only American Red Cross Dog & Cat First Aid & CPR Instructor and mostly pet rescuer.
Her life revolves and evolves around All Things Pets. Yes, it is a chronic condition and she loves it. She always wanted to be a veterinarian, but it didn’t happen. Becoming a Pet First Aid Instructor in 2008 has brought her full circle in her love for animals giving her the opportunity to make every pet owner a ‘prepared pet parent’ and to teach the amazing value of how pets can commingle with humans if we all just take the time to understand each other.
Peggy received the AMERICAN RED CROSS 2011 Animal Hero Award for teaching Dog & Cat First Aid & CPR classes since 2008. Rew will travel anywhere for groups interested in American Red Cross Pet First Aid classes including National Conventions for Guide Dog Users & Puppy Raisers.
Rew recently published a Dog Bite Prevention Education Coloring Book because Dog Bite Reports have risen across the US. This book is for anyone who interacts with dogs and teaches the reader how dogs use their senses to communicate. Rew received the AMERICAN RED CROSS 2016 Animal Hero Award for creating, publishing and widely distributing her Dog Bite Prevention Coloring Book.
